Richard Watson - Principal
Richard has 20 years experience in the provision of legal services to commercial clients. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with merit in Accounting, Financial and Systems and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales.
From 1979 to 1982, Richard was employed in a three partner city practice predominantly involved in litigation. For two years thereafter, he worked in a major city firm, specialising in commercial litigation, mainly in banking and finance and building and construction.
After that, from September 1982 until 1992, Richard was the founding partner and partner in charge of litigation matters of a three partner city firm, specialising in the provision of services for the commercial and business sector including building and construction, banking and finance and corporate insolvency matters.
Since 1 August 1992, Richard has been the proprietor of Watson & Watson, practising in general commercial matters, with an emphasis on commercial litigation including building & construction, property and family law disputes.
Richard was accredited in 1995 by the Law Society of New South Wales as a specialist in commercial litigation, building and construction stream, at the first examinable course provided by the Law Society.
